All three of these were delivered in buildings that stayed open. That is the part that takes the planning.

Aquatic & leisure
Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre
Stage 1 replaced the centre's thermal plant with a multifunctional four-pipe heat pump running on R290, a natural refrigerant. It does space cooling, space heating, pool water heating and domestic hot water at the same time, holding different setpoints across the site.
It is the largest application of its kind in Australia, and it shows a fossil-fuel plant can be replaced without giving up comfort or reliability. The centre stayed open throughout. Shortlisted at the ARBS Industry Excellence Awards 2026 for the Minor Project Excellence Award.

Healthcare
Ryde Hospital, Ward 2
Upgrade and refurbishment of existing medical wards, including retrofitting and integrating HVAC into a live hospital.
Everything had to be staged around a working ward. Coordination with hospital staff and infection-control requirements shaped the programme more than the mechanical work did, and the disruption to patients and staff had to stay near zero.

Civic
Ashfield Civic Centre
A chiller failed. We were brought in to get the building's cooling back, and the whole job was delivered inside a seven-day emergency window.
The ageing chillers came out and eight Mitsubishi Electric chillers went in. We modified and upgraded the existing building management system at the same time and added remote access to it. The building stayed fully occupied and operational the entire time, so the staging had to hold essential cooling while the plant was being swapped underneath it.
